When I was hired for my first teaching job, I had no idea that the man who recruited me had AIDS. It was the early 1990s, and AIDS wasn’t mainstream. It was a secret.
He didn’t look sick. He didn’t act like he was dying.
He never told us.
He just disappeared from work one year.
We didn’t know what was wrong. We wondered why he was gone for so long.
And one day when he came back to visit, we figured it out.
And then he died.
Thank you, Steve, for taking a risk with me. I was young, eager, and enthusiastic. You gave me a chance.
I think you’d be proud of the teacher I’ve become.
I’ve never forgotten you, or your infectious laugh, or your love of the strange-but-contagiously-addictive middle school human.
Thank you. I wish you were here.

Apart from helping the educational possibility of inferior towns, Planet Aid at the same time wishes
to cultivate environmentally friendly options for
food production over these areas. The top goal of
this program is always to rise global attention of the
environment issues that concern all humanity, and also aim recognition
on the individuals who demand it the most. The nonprofit charities also tries to promote regional and tiny
business ventures to inspire job opportunity creation and self-sufficiency.
Rather then abandoning outfits and footwear, citizens are encouraged to drop used cloth in the big yellow donation containers in the regional city or town.
With putting them within the yellow case, donators are mailing shoes
and clothes to folks who can’t afford to buy their own.

June 26, 2013In 1997 a number of people joined together in the Boston local area
with the idea of doing some thing good for the earth
and the poor. In order to assistance the efforts, they started out a charitable to save second-hand clothes from disposal.
They then sold the garments they gathered to boost required money.
Despite just which has a number of boxes and a leased
storage space, success arrived rapidly. Quickly their intake
of second-hand garments began to flood the rented space. With increasingly
more donated clothes arriving every day, the team moved to a warehouse.
Though developing quickly, the aim remained exactly
the same: increase worldwide environmental durability and mobilize sources to end poverty.
It was thus fitting the new charitable organization was
christened “Planet Aid.”
